New injectable neurotoxin receives FDA clearance

The U.S. aesthetic facial injectables market is set to expand in 2019 with the FDA approval of Jeuveau (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs), an injectable neurotoxin that is structurally similar to Botox Cosmetic. Set to launch in Spring 2019, Jeuveau is cleared for temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with corrugator and / or procerus muscle activity in adults.

Positive study results boost confidence in RT002 as a safe and effective longer-lasting neurotoxin treatment for moderate to severe glabellar lines in adults. Based on these study findings, Revance expects U.S. FDA approval in 2019.
