Is there age bias in pharmacy?

When we published "They shoot horses, don't they?" by James "Goose" Rawlings in the February 2014 issue of Drug Topics, we did not foresee the degree of reaction it would unleash. However, Goose’s story of the young pharmacy school graduate who thought older pharmacists should step aside and leave their jobs to new PharmDs struck a nerve, and the e-mails have been coming in ever since.

"A word to younger pharmacists who feel that older pharmacists should step aside and give them a chance: Find your position the old-fashioned way... EARN IT."
