Psychiatric adverse drug events prominent in certain drugs prescribed for kids

During 2008-2012, more than 45,600 adverse drug events in children less than 18 years of age were reported to the FDA. Approximately 29,000 ADEs (64%) were serious, causing injury. Of these ADEs, 15 drugs were responsible for 41% of the serious ADEs.
