In 2008 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched the recovery audit contractors (RAC) program, designed to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare system. In an effort to gauge the program's efficiency and effectiveness, and find out whether appeals of RAC findings have been successful, The Frank Cohen Group, LLC has created a 10-question online survey for Medicare providers who have been audited by the RAC program. The survey is available at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RacIssues. Results will be published in a future issue of Medical Economics.
