In 2008 the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched the recovery audit contractors (RAC) program, designed to fight fraud, waste, and abuse in the Medicare system. In an effort to gauge the program's efficiency and effectiveness, and find out whether appeals of RAC findings have been successful, The Frank Cohen Group, LLC has created a 10-question online survey for Medicare providers who have been audited by the RAC program. The survey is available at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RacIssues. Results will be published in a future issue of Medical Economics.

Please contact us at medec@advanstar.com. if you are a PCP limiting your practice to a different specialty (such as just doing dermatology), or especially if you work for specialists in a single field.
