Thermal Desorption Sampling
Thermal desorption sampling often provides a means for bringing otherwise intractable samples to a gas chromatography (GC) column for separation and detection. In this instalment, John Hinshaw describes the principles of thermal desorption sampling in relationship to other analysis techniques for volatile solutes.
Develop methods faster and collect information rich data with RADAR
Uncertainty in chromatographic method development and quantitative experiments often arises. RADAR can detect uncertainty, discover co-eluting compounds, collect full scan MS data and monitor the background matrix, enabling fast method development. Learn more
A Stoichiometric Displacement Model for Proteins in Reversed-Phase LC
The literature on reversed-phase liquid chromatography of proteins is reasonably well developed, but not taught in the college classroom to a significant degree. So I would like to focus on a stoichiometric displacement model for reversed-phase LC of proteins that I found to be particularly insightful from a practical standpoint.

Detection Markers in Trypanosomiasis
Researchers from Imperial College London and the University of Aberdeen have identified disease markers for Human African Trypanosomiasis (HAT), commonly known as “sleeping sickness”. Using reversed-phase ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry
(UHPLC–MS) and proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectroscopy researchers found 53 discriminatory metabolite markers.
