Automated Multi-Cartridge Solid-Phase Extraction of Phosphorus Containing Pesticides in Drinking Water
Philip Bassignani, FMS,Inc.
Analytically, OPPs can pose some challenges due to the wide diversity of physical structures and behavioural characteristics of individual analytes. This often results in individual extraction protocols being implemented for labs to meet regulatory compliances. With the FMS, Inc TurboTrace® ABN Multi Cartridge SPE system, and its ability to incorporate dual cartridge extractions, it is possible to pair analytes with dissimilar characteristics into a single, fully automated extraction process. Quantitative Determination of Serum 25-OH-vitamin D3/D2
Michal Svoboda, Andrea Kiehne, Birgit Schneider, Markus Meyer, Bruker Daltonics
Liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS–MS) offers clinical researchers a rapid and cost-effective way to quantitatively determine the levels of 25-OH-vitamin D3/D2 metabolites in serum over extended concentration ranges. Furthermore, unlike immunoassays, this technique is able to simultaneously determine the individual concentrations of the 25-OH D3 and 25-OH D2 metabolites. Here, we report a novel approach using ion trap mass spectrometry for the rapid and accurate quantification of these metabolites in serum. Read More
