Nitrosamines are a group of chemical compounds regulated due to their carcinogenic characteristics. Nitrosamines have many sources including widespread usage in the manufacturing of rubber products, as well as cosmetics. They have also been demonstrated to form from reactions between food preservatives and amines. In drinking water, established limits are low (<1 ng/L), requiring detection by a Mass Spectrometer in the chemical ionization mode. |

A Variety of Agilent ZORBAX RRHD Phases Offers Selectivity Options for the Determination of Anthocyanins in Blueberries with UHPLC/MS

ZORBAX Rapid Resolution High Definition (RRHD) columns are stable to 1200 bar, and offer new selectivity options for UHPLC. The family now has more than twelve phases, including HILIC. This application note demonstrates and evaluates four different Agilent ZORBAX RRHD stationary phases are quickly evaluated: Eclipse Plus C18, Eclipse Plus Phenyl-Hexyl, StableBond SB-Aq, and StableBond SB-Phenyl. Glycosides and acylglycosides of five common anthocyanidins (cyanidin, delphinidin, peonidin, petunidin, and malvidin) are observed. |
