Alternative To Animal Testing Saves Time, Money
Brian Dell, Celsis Analytical Services
The drive to reduce and/or find alternatives for animal-base d testing of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and personal care products has accelerated the demand for validated in vitro studies that are viable equivalents to animal testing. |
Achieving Quality by Design through Statistical Process Control
Presenter - Rick Johnston, Ph.D., Bioproduction Group
Quality by Design (QbD) is a catch-phrase in the biotech industry but few facilities implement true QbD in their day-to-day operations. In this webinar, we will look at how Bio-G's Crosswalk software allows enterprises to use Statistical Process Control (SPC) - common in other industries - to achieve continuous QbD. We look at specific examples from data sources in the enterprise and how these can help achieve higher service levels and lower failure rates.
Characterization of monoclonal antibodies by Size Exclusion Chromatography
Srividya Kailasam, Jochen Strassner, Faizy Ahmed and Martin Vollmer, Agilent Technologies in Bangalore, India, and Waldbronn, Germany
Purity and stability of two monoclonal antibodies (mAb) preparations were investigated using the Agilent 1260 Bio-inert LC System in combination with the Agilent BioSEC columns. Superior Resolution of variants from the main antibody peak was achieved and compared to the results obtained with a competitive column.
Resolution and Sampling Considerations for Accuracy in Imaging Particle Analysis
Fluid Imaging Technologies
This paper explains how imaging particle analyzers measure size, shape and gray-scale information to automatically characterize different particles in a heterogeneous sample such as protein agglomerates from silicone droplets. Most other particle analyzers only offer a distribution of particle size. Consider these resolution and sampling basics for maximum success.
