Chemical Vapor Deposition Analysis of Graphene
Mark Wall, PhD, Thermo Fisher Scientific; Robert M. Jacobberger, Department of Material Science and Engineering, University of Wisconsin; and Elena Polyakov, Graphene Laboratories
This note explores how Raman imaging is used to gain important insight with respect to critical parameters and mechanisms that govern the nucleation and growth of graphene via chemical vapor deposition (CVD).

Raman Mapping of Mineral Inclusions in Diamonds and other Mineral Samples
Antony Burnham, PhD, School of Earth Sciences, University of Bristol, UK; and David James, Thermo Fisher Scientific
Mineral inclusions can be used to explain the evolution of a rock; because diamond is the hardest known material, polishing down and exposing inclusions is time-consuming and costly. Raman spectroscopy can identifiy inclusions while still encapsulated.
