This presentation and discussion will focus on the changes that the biotech industry is facing across a number of fronts. As the editor-in-chief of Pharmaceutical Executive and of Applied Clinical Trials, she is an expert on what is happening to the industry. She will cover both the positive (rate of drug discovery, new and innovative technologies, strong funding sources from both public and private investors, etc.) and the negative trends (negative political sentiment and related pricing controversies, structural change with vertical integration by insurance companies into PBMs, high cost of clinical trials, number of entrants in many therapeutic areas, much lower pricing in many countries relative to the U.S. and Europe, etc.). Lisa will discuss these issues and more during this fireside chat with Peter Young, head of a Life Sciences and Chemicals investment bank and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharmaceutical Executive.

Ms. Henderson is responsible for the editorial coverage and staying on top of trends and information in the industry.
Ms. Henderson previously worked as a business-to-business editor in a variety of industries including information technology, college recruitment, and managed care, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of issues that impact her current audience. Ms. Henderson regularly speaks at conferences and moderates webcasts. Ms. Henderson graduation with a BA Cum Laude from Temple University.
