The 8th HIC/RPC Bioseparation Conference will be highlighted by two keynote addresses. They, along with presentations of the latest work coming from the top labs in academia and industry, promise to make this a first class conference. The keynote speakers will discuss the state of the art developments in our understanding of the effects of water on the critical challenge of creating selectivity in process chromatographic systems. The keynote titles and presenters are:

• “Water: why the sudden interest in its use for reversed phase, hydrophobic interaction, and mixed-mode bioseparations” to be given by Professor Milton Hearn, Monash University
  
• “Water, proteins, and interfaces: a new molecular perspective” to be given by Professor Shekhar Garde, RPI
