THE CASE

A 26-day-old female neonate, born at 36 weeks of gestation, presents to the clinic with a visible swelling in the right labia majora. The patient was born to a 21-year-old female via vaginal birth. Group B streptococcus was present at birth and adequately treated with 3 doses of penicillin G. The mother developed cholestasis during pregnancy and was treated with ursodiol. Paternal age was 23 years, and the family history was unremarkable.
