ProHeart® 6 (moxidectin): Added Value for Your Patients, Your Clients and
Your Practice |

Dear [Doctor Name],
The value of a year-round heartworm disease prevention regimen is immeasurable.
But such prevention requires pet owner compliance.
ProHeart 6 eliminates the need for dog owners to administer monthly heartworm disease preventatives.
Two appropriately timed, veterinary-administered doses of ProHeart 6 provide uninterrupted protection against heartworm disease for a full year.
A 2015 study1 by Zoetis Inc.
found that there were added benefits when dogs were brought to a veterinary practice for their second dose of ProHeart 6.
“Second dose” was defined as one administered within 5–7 months of the first dose.
The full study results are available online in a brief white paper, “ProHeart® 6
(moxidectin): The Value of the Second Dose.” Take a look and see the data detailing the benefits of the second dose. |
|
Key findings included:
- Some 21.7% of patients had at least one additional medical issue addressed during the second dose visit.
- Nearly 80% of clients obtained additional products, services or both during the second dose visit.
- The average total invoice for these visits was $121.13 (less $12.32, the average cost to the veterinary practice for a ProHeart 6 dose for a 35‑lb dog).
Kind regards,
The ProHeart 6 Team
