Event Overview:
Liquid chromatography is the most widely used separation technique owing to its applicability to separate a wide range of compounds. When optimizing HPLC parameters, the use of high purity water and solvents as well as the choice of the proper column are extremely important. Since water and solvents are used not only as mobile phases but also in the preparation of samples, standards, and blanks, their quality is critical, especially in very sensitive UHPLC applications. The first part of this webcast will provide practical knowledge of water contaminants and their sources and also will demonstrate realistic examples of their impact on LC system components and analytical results. In the second part of this webcast we will discuss the advantages of monolithic columns compared to standard columns packed with silica particles. The longer lifetime and lower matrix-sensitivity of monolithic columns will be discussed. Overall, this webinar will help users make the right choices of water, solvents, and columns for your HPLC applications.
Key Learning Objectives:
By attending this webcast, you will:
- find out the potential impact of lower quality water and solvents on HPLC
- be able to identify the water contaminants that can affect your laboratory work and make better water quality choice for your particular LC applications
- learn the benefits of monolithic silica columns and be able to make the right column choices for your LC applications
Who Should Attend:
Anyone who is doing or planning to do LC analysis
