This application note summarizes the collaboration between Vertex Pharmaceuticals and Waters Corporation to test and demonstrate a quan/qual DMPK workflow to determine robustness and reliability of QTof measurements compared to triple quadrupole MS. Here, propranolol was used as a model compound and a pharmacokinetic (PK) rat study (containing standard curves, PK runs, and QCs) was conducted using a Xevo G2 QTof MS System. The sample set was also run using a triple quadrupole platform with a typical MRM-based workflow under the same chromatographic conditions to provide a reference comparison data set.
