Streamline Future Approvals
The 2017 standard on emissions from respiratory medical devices, ISO 18562, deals with the measurement of these and other emissions, and has now been recognized by the US Food & Drug Administration. Although testing under the existing standard (ISO 10993) is still required, this development means that manufacturers can now submit their products under ISO 18562, streamlining future approvals. |

Markes' ISO 18562 Study
Markes has released a study that describes an ISO 18562-compliant analytical setup, using pumped sampling onto sorbent tubes, followed by thermal desorption–gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (TD–GC–MS).
