EVENT OVERVIEW

This webinar will present a rapid, robust, sensitive and specific LC/MS/MS assay for the simultaneous detection of major food allergens in various matrices at the low part per million levels. Specifically milk, egg, soy, peanut, tree nut, and corn allergens as well as gluten for intolerance testing are discussed. It will be shown how LC/MS/MS offers the unique advantages of precise multi allergen screening.

LC/MS/MS provides superior sensitivity and specificity to identify and quantify trace levels of allergens in food samples. It also enables multi-component analysis, allowing scientists to quantitatively screen for multiple allergens in a single run to significantly improve productivity and assay performance.

Special focus will be paid on describing how the methodology overcomes the drawbacks, such as false positive results, of conventional allergen testing based on indirect detection of DNA or through the use of antibody based methods. The webinar will also provide insight on the likely future of MS based food allergen testing and intolerance analysis.

Key Learning Objectives
Learn how LC/MS/MS provides highest throughput, sensitivity, and specificity for food allergy testing
Learn how to screen for, quantify and unambiguously identify multiple allergens in a single run
Learn how LC/MS/MS and particularly QTRAP® technology can reduce false positive and negative results, and increases productivity and confidence for food allergen testing
Who Should Attend
Food Scientists, analytical scientists, in government, industry, academic, contract and reference labs who want to learn about the latest advancements in food allergen testing by LC/MS/MS.
