Solvent effects in GPC/SEC

The choice of solvent used for a GPC/SEC separation is crucial to the success of the experiment. Not only must the solvent dissolve the sample, but it must be suitable for use on the selected columns. Even then, success is not guaranteed as some solvent/sample combinations result in unwanted non-size exclusion effects that significantly reduce the value of the analysis.

For examples of ideal solvent choices for a wide range of GPC/SEC applications, download application compendia focused on many industries including pharmaceuticals and medical devices, plastics and polymers, and food.
