Dear Registrant,
First of all, welcome! You've signed up for an educational meeting that I know you will love. For those who attended last year, you'll notice that I am more grey and more wrinkled since this meeting has become an obsession. The faculty, although no longer talking to me, is completely committed to exceeding your expectations.
There are some important announcements which will be quickly summarized. The meeting will be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, officially opening at 2pm on Thursday, January 17th, 2013. The afternoon presentations begin at 3pm and will be entirely devoted to New Technology. The opening reception will follow at 7pm with light food and entertainment. For those who wish to arrive early, there will be an optional session entitled, "Wednesday Night at the Movies" scheduled from 6:30pm-8pm at the adjacent Hyatt Hotel. Dinner and popcorn will be provided as we watch some of my favorite videos from the Video Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
On Friday and Saturday, the meeting begins at 7am and runs through 1pm. Breakfast and lunch are provided courtesy of the sponsoring companies who will make a promotional presentation while you are eating. Optional wet labs are offered in the afternoon for those who are interested. If you'd rather play golf, kayak, or sign up for a tour, I will try to arrange this for you. The meeting goes from 7am-11am on Sunday morning. Dress attire is casual.
The Ritz and the nearby Hyatt will sell out again so please get your discounted hotel reservations ASAP. The hotels are located 20 minutes from the Sarasota airport and just under an hour drive from the Tampa International airport. Enterprise has offered a group discount.
The optional wet labs have limited space and will fill up fast (first come first serve) so please email ??? quickly with your choices. A small fee of $50 is required to pay for associate faculty and will be due by January 1, 2013. There is no charge for the OMIC lecture which yields both CME and a discount on your premium.
