Fig. 01 Ciliary muscle electrostimulation is based on microelectrical stimulation onto the ciliary muscle to restore accommodation. A CE-marked device consists of a 20-mm diameter polycarbonate contact lens with four 3-mm electrodes that connect to the electrostimulator. Cables connect to the core of the contact lens.
