Clinical Portals: Balancing Sponsor and Site Perspectives
Leveraging cloud-based technology to facilitate clinical trials offers significant time and cost savings, improving efficiency across the global clinical trial community. At CBI’s Third Summit on Clinical Trial Investigator Portals in May 2011, key themes discussed during the conference included the benefits and challenges faced by the clinical community when developing and implementing online clinical portals.
IntraLinks’ Linda Bowers, Vice President of Life Sciences, was among the presenters at the conference. Bowers offered her perspective on the value of developing a portal from the entire clinical community perspective, which also includes leveraging cloud-based, best-of-breed technology solutions to improve overall efficiency.
Bowers discussed some key observations about the industry and the adoption of cloud-based technology in the clinical trial process.
