Stranaska Scientific LLC – the visionary leader in analytical UV/VIS absorption spectrophotometric metrology
Analytical metrology is the cornerstone to the scientific validity and defensibility of measurement results produced in analytical testing and chemical analysis laboratories. Stranaska Scientific is pleased to announce the introduction of three metrological offerings for the analytical laboratory including a new measurement standard, an expanded recertification service, and a revised educational short course.

  • CA2M 711 is a new spectrophotometer reference material artifact that is intended for the validation of the instrument’s spectral bandwidth (SBW). This important instrumental parameter needs to be verified periodically because spectral resolution impacts the quality of both wavelength and absorbance measurement results. It should be the first test conducted in the performance evaluation and qualification of a spectrophotometer because, if not, the testing results for measurements of wavelength and photometric reference material artifacts may be misinterpreted.

Compared to other references such as toluene in hexane, the CA2M 711 measurementstandard facilitates significant improvements in the testing and verification of spectral resolution in molecular absorption spectrophotometry. Contact Stranaska Scientific todayfor more information about new and improved verification of spectral bandwidth and resolution testing.
