Course offerings include:

Steam Sterilizers: Getting It Right from the Beginning (Sept. 25)
This comprehensive course will help you understand sterilization processes using steam. Discover how to design the right steam sterilizer for particular applications, develop the load and cycle for those applications, and perform qualifications. Additionally, you will learn how to ensure that the qualified status is maintained. To get the most from this course, you should bring a basic understanding of how your organization uses steam sterilization and any new applications that are being considered.

Validation of Moist Heat Sterilization Processes: Cycle Design, Development, Validation, and Ongoing Control (Sept. 26)
Based on PDA’s Technical Report No. 1, Validation of Moist Heat Sterilization Processes: Cycle Design, Development, Qualification and Ongoing Control, this course will provide you with a foundational understanding of sterilization science so that you can properly design, validate, and control your moist heat sterilization processes. Topics covered include considerations in the use of steam and water requirements for moist heat processes, determination of cold spots, sterilizer suitability and equivalency, and much more!

Validation of Dry Heat Processes (Sept. 27)
Based on PDA's Technical Report No. 3, Validation of Dry Heat Processes Used for Depyrogenation and Sterilization, current practices and approaches to validating dry heat depyrogenation processes will be explored. Gain an understanding of equipment options and the factors for consideration in qualification, validation, and ongoing maintenance.

  • Discover what you should consider when:
  • Designing and verifying equipment
  • Developing processes
  • Qualifying performance for new systems
  • Developing and validating processes for existing systems

You will have an opportunity to discuss actual problems you have encountered (or are encountering) and consider as a group causes and possible solutions.

Radiation Sterilization – New Course (Sept. 28)
During this interactive course, you will learn about the importance of radiation sterilization and effective ways to use it on various products. Gain a fundamental understanding of radiation sterilization technology, assurance of sterility through dose and dosimetry, regulatory requirements for radiation sterilization, and more!
