EVENT OVERVIEW
Trace elemental analysis covers a range of applications that have vastly differing analytical requirements, and there are therefore a large number of instruments available on the market. Knowing which instrument is the most appropriate tool for your analysis depends on the specific analytical challenges your laboratory faces on a day-to-day basis. This webcast series will provide you with the knowledge needed to choose the right tool for your laboratory.
This part of the webcast series focuses on applications requiring low Limits of Detection (LODs), which are typically run on Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) instruments. Single quadrupole (SQ) based instruments dominate for most routine and high throughput applications, whereas high resolution sector field (HR-SF) instruments have serious advantages when ultralow limits of detection are required. In recent years, triple quadrupole (TQ) ICP-MS instrumentation has been developed that can handle more spectral interferences that remain challenging for ICP-MS.
Attend this webcast to learn more about the available technology, and how it can address specific problems in trace elemental analysis.
Key Learning Objectives
  • Understand the underlying principles and differences between single quadrupole, triple quadrupole and high resolution sector field ICP-MS
  • See where each of the techniques excel and how they compare to each other
  • Learn more about challenging applications and which instrumentation is the right one for your laboratory
Who Should Attend
  • Analysts who are looking forward to expand their technical knowledge
  • Researchers that are faced with challenging analyses and are looking for the right instrument to overcome them
  • Lab leaders who want to leverage the full potential of their instruments
