About Dr. Matthias Berg
Dr. Matthias Berg completed his Ph.D. in characterization of MHC class II peptides of the immune system by mass spectrometry in 1997, working in the laboratories of Professor Donald F. Hunt at
the University of Virginia, U.S.A., and Professor Howard R. Morris at Imperial College in London, U.K. On completion of his academic studies, Dr. Berg built a career at Amersham Biosciences and the M-Scan group in Switzerland and Germany, rising to Managing
Director of the group's German operation. Following the acquisition of M-Scan by SGS in late 2010, Dr. Berg was appointed Laboratory Head of the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory in Late Phase Analytical Development for Biologics at Novartis, where his main interest
is in improving MS data evaluation.
With kind regards,
