Boehringer Ingelheim joins the fight against rabies in Puerto Rico

On World Rabies Day, Boehringer Ingelheim announced a new partnership to help prevent rabies through its Shots for GoodSM program. Starting in 2019 and spanning across the next three years, 60,000 IMRAB® doses and funds for the proof of vaccination seals for each dose will be donated to help animals in Puerto Rico.

GreaterGood.org will help distribute Boehringer Ingelheim’s donation to the following organizations: SpayathonSM for Puerto Rico will receive enough IMRAB doses and proof of vaccination seals to help vaccinate 50,000 cats and dogs on the island. The event is organized by the Humane Society of the United States Veterinarians for Puerto Rico, a nonprofit organization founded following Hurricane Maria, will also receive 10,000 rabies doses and proof of vaccination seals to vaccinate pets and stray animals in rural parts of Puerto Rico
