Klinge Corporation Introduces -70°C (-94°F) Dual-Redundant Ocean Shipping and Storage Container for Vaccine and Other Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Products
As a world class innovator in the transport refrigeration industry, Klinge provides superior transport container solutions for a variety of industries, including for chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, food processing, and military customers. Our container refrigeration units are built to the highest standards and made to hold up under tough conditions, making them ideal for military and government use as well as for commercial industries.
For the past 4-5 years in particular, Klinge has grown its presence in the Pharma/Biopharma space, building on existing SOPs which have for decades been successfully used by Klinge and its partners for the safe transport of Dangerous Goods, and introducing redundant equipment for refrigerated transport between 2°C to 8°C and 15°C to 25°C, as well as similar redundant systems for 0°C to – 25°C and Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) systems for use between -40°C to -65°C. Klinge has been part of the successful Poseidon initiative using some of this equipment and is proud to collaborate with all the shipper/pharma and logistics partners involved in this innovative initiative.

And in just the past weeks, Klinge finished up further testing of these ULT dual redundant systems (back-up systems and integrated back-up power and remote monitoring) down to -70°C cargo temperature in preparation for further use in particular for vaccine transport and storage. We are happy to report the success of these preparations and that these systems are able to maintain these required temperatures.
