Enabling the Adaptive Machine
Maximum Flexibility with Increased Productivity
Flow International Video
B&R will feature automation advances to maximize packaging performance, flexibility at PACK EXPO 2019, booth C-2058. B&R's ACOPOStrak intelligent track systems enable what has become known as The Adaptive Machine, representing the fourth generation of packaging machinery technology ? allowing cost effective mass customization. B&R’s new machine vision solution integrates directly into the machine controller and network rather than a separate vision system and features a powerful lighting capability

ACOPOStrak enables human-track-Collaboration
Flow International Video
Manual workstations located along transport systems have traditionally relied on rigid intrinsic safety solutions that cannot be changed or switched off. Like traditional robots, such solutions remain slow and limited in force even when no humans are near the track. In contrast, collaborative ACOPOStrak workstations combine maximum operator protection with maximum productivity: safety functions can be activated and deactivated dynamically during runtime. Safely limited speed and force values can be adjusted on-the-fly based on shuttle payload. A safe setup mode enables the track to continue production even if an operator is close – boosting the availability factor of OEE. Case Study: Adaptive Transport for Ultimate Production Effectiveness
TRUMPF Video
Makro is a relative newcomer to the packaging machinery scene, having been launched about nine years ago. But management obviously has been paying close attention to emerging technologies that might be leveraged. Electronics Designer Simone Marcantoni puts it this way: “We’ve been watching ACOPOStrak coming out of development, so when B&R asked if we had any ideas about implementing it in our machines, the concept we came up with is C Leap.”
