Drug and Nondrug Approaches for Treating Osteoarthritis
Updated treatment guidelines for hand, hip and knee osteoarthritis have been issued. In this slideshow, we highlight recommendations for the use (or not) of drug and nondrug treatments. These include strong recommendations for standard treatment options, such as weight loss and Tai Chi, and strong recommendations against treatments with pharmacologicals, such as glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate (except for hand osteoarthritis).
