Idexx reports negative COVID-19 results for thousands of canine and feline samples

Although the question of whether pets can contract or transmit SARS-CoV-2 (the coronavirus strain responsible for COVID-19) has not been answered definitively, Idexx Laboratories reports that it tested thousands of dogs and cats in validating a new veterinary test system for the COVID-19 virus, and results were negative for all test subjects.
