Frontiers of Sampling: Design of High Surface Area Thin-Film Samplers for On-site Environmental Analysis
In on-site environmental applications, representative sampling and proper replication are essential to properly characterize a given site. For these reasons, recent work in thin-film solid-phase microextraction (TF-SPME), an extension of fibre-based SPME, has focused on the development of unique holders and customized samplers that have been tailored for distinct sampling environments. Here, we explore the latest developments and designs of high-surface-area thin-film samplers for on-site environmental analysis using TF-SPME.
